So I Tried This Whole Canada Drives Thing ...

I think everyone has a 'Dream Car'.

For some it's flashy and expensive.  For some it's the muscle car from their youth.  For others, it may be that convertible they always wanted.

My dream car is the one Tara drove in Sons of Anarchy.  This little beauty.

I've also said I'd like a Charger or a Challenger, some day.

Unfortunately my bank account has different ideas, so I figured when the time came to buy a car, I'd settle on a Chevy Cruze.

I drove one as a rental a couple of years ago.

It was economical and didn't scream Mom-Mobile like my minivan did back in the 90's, so, yeah, I decided on the Cruze.

Last year, I saved and saved and saved ... then moved across the country.

When I left Nova Scotia, I gave my car to the daughter of a friend, so I've been walking or bussing it since I moved to BC.

When I was in Burnaby last summer, it was fine because busses and the skytrain were only minutes away, and there was always a bus arriving shortly.

Where I am now, while I have a bus stop right across the street from me, the frequency is ... every half hour. Every hour on the weekend.  GAH!

I was definitely ready for a car.

So I saved and saved and saved again, and a couple of weeks ago, was finally ready to buy one.

After checking out a few dealerships, and one private sale I went down to a dealership on a Monday morning (after speaking to them on Friday and seeing a Cruze), cash in hand, ready to buy the car.

Unfortunately for the car buyer, if you're actually paying for the car and not financing it, the dealership won't make any money off you, so they may not be as flexible when dealing with you.

THIS is what I found at the dealership I was ready to purchase the Cruze from.

Because I was paying cash, they wouldn't budge on the sticker price.

What dealership doesn't budge on the sticker price?!?!?!?

One that's NOT going to make any money off you if you're not financing.

So ... since he wouldn't budge on price, and wanted to charge me the additional 'fees' and tax on top of it, with the exception of one sketchy fee, I walked.

And since he wouldn't make any money off me in the end, he let me walk.

And I was OK with that.

However at this point, I didn't want to look at another car or talk to another car salesperson.

I was DONE with spending $40 on Ubers to take me to dealerships.  I was DONE dealing with sketchy private sales and I was DONE dealing with car salesmen and their sketchy fees who spoke to my son more than to me, the woman who was buying the car.

This was going to be a huge purchase for me, and I was starting to get anxiety over the bullshit involved in finding something I wanted, for what I could afford.

I did NOT want to finance a vehicle.

I work on contract and I never want to be in a position where my contract ends, I have car payments and NO new contract to begin.

I was not putting myself in that position, so I wanted to buy outright.

GAH! Not as easy as it sounds when going through a dealership.

Until ...

My son looked over at me in that car dealership parking lot and said, 'What about Canada Drives?'

Now I'm not going to lie.  I'd seen the ads.  I figured it was a scam.

My son had been helping me find a car and I hadn't even wanted to mention it to him, because I figured he'd tell me it was a scam.

How could you actually buy a car from the comfort of your home, without having to deal with a salesperson? Or fees.  Or scams of some sort.

I was soon going to find out. We made the call.

The FIRST thing I will say is ... other than when my mother gave me her car when she was done with it, this was the EASIEST car buying experience I've EVER had!

Canada Drives really DOES make it THAT simple!

Perhaps my experience was a little different, because I didn't have to deal with financing, which they also do in-house, but here's how it went for me ...

After making the initial call, it was really as easy as going to their website and finding the car I wanted.

Having said that, if you're looking for a used car for under $8000 you probably won't find it here, as when you're setting the filter range, the minimum amount you can choose is $10,000, but it did show some in the $8-9000 range, which is what I was looking for.

I scrolled through the cars, looking for a Cruze.

I found one.  It was burnt orange.

Not the actual car

Well, burnt orange wasn't exactly the colour I was going for, but at least it wasn't silver or grey, something I did NOT want.

So I thought I had found my car.

'There', I thought. 'DONE!'

Then, for whatever reason, I scrolled a little further, and I saw her.

A black Dodge Avenger.

Not the actual car

Well now!

Immediately my heart went, 'MINE! MINE! MINE?

I looked at the price.  Same as the Cruze.

Hmmmm.  What to do?!?!?!

I checked out the car report.  It was good.

I was determined I was getting a Cruze, but ... this little Avenger was like a baby version of a challenger or charger. Sort of.

She definitely had my heart.

Then my brain went back to one of the Canada Drives policies ... If you don't like the vehicle, you can give it back within 7 days.

A 7 day test drive, if you will.

Alrighty then!

A black Dodge Avenger it is!

My thinking was, get the Avenger.  If I didn't like it after driving it for 7 days, I'd give it back and get the Cruze instead.

It was then as easy as clicking the 'Start Process' button.  Or whatever it was that it said.

I clicked it.

I chose my car and financing option, chose my delivery date (the next day), agreed to TOS, paid a $500 deposit and that was pretty much it.

I then got a phone call from a Canada Drives representative to verify everything I had chosen online.

They then sent me the purchase agreement, online.

I signed everything electronically and sent it back.

Easy as that, I had bought a new car ... from the comfort of my living room, wrapped in my blankie.

Well, it's a used car, but new to me!

The next step was insurance.

An insurance rep from Canada Drives called me the next morning and we had that set up in minutes, again signing all documents electronically online.

The only thing left to do was wait for the car, and spend the next 7 days driving it!

But then I rescheduled delivery.

It was scheduled to arrive in my driveway between 7-9PM the next evening.

But the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to see my new car for the first time in the daylight.

So I rescheduled to Friday morning.

Just after 11am, I got a phone call.

I looked out the window as I was answering and could see them across the street.

The big blue truck was HERE!!!!

My new (to me) car was HERE!!!!

They backed it out and we went over it inside and out.

We went over the paperwork.

I signed a few more things in person and gave them the bank draft.

They gave me the registration and insurance papers, and put my plates on for me, God luv 'em!

They took a video and a few pictures, then handed over the keys and a $25 Gas Card ...

... then I thanked them and then I drove her into my driveway!

I'm very happy to say, I've had my girl Gemma for almost two weeks.

She did NOT go back!

I know some people will think, 'How could you buy a car without even seeing it?!'

To me, that wasn't really a big deal.  I saw it online.  I read the car report.

As long as those were accurate, the way I looked at it is that I'd have 7 days to decide.

7 days of actually driving it.

I called her Gemma because she's sleek and Badass, just like THIS Gemma 💖.

Pic taken from HERE

And they even put snow tires on for me!

Which ... considering this, which arrived a couple of days later ... I'm glad they did lol.

So I tried this whole Canada Drives thing, and my honest impression ...

It was SO easy!

It was NOT a scam!

There really are NO hidden fees.

NO pushy salespeople!

You really DON'T have to leave your house!

VERY quick turnaround from first click to new car!

I absolutely LOVE my new (to me) car!

I would DEFINITELY recommend this company to anyone looking for a new vehicle.

While I tend to be the type of person who is skeptical, and expects a scam around most corners, the whole Canada Drives experience, for me, really WAS just as easy as it promised it would be.

Now if you'll excuse me ... it's time for Gemma and I to hit the road!

And since the Boy & Girlfriend already generously gifted me a GPS system for Christmas, I can (most times) even figure out where I'm going!

Merry Christmas to ME!

And Merry Christmas / Happy Holidays to all of YOU also.

Now go buy a car!

Dear Mr. Politician ...

Dear Mr. Politician,

We’re having an election next week, although I’m sure you’re well aware of that, considering you’re running in it.

There are three major political parties in Nova Scotia that we can vote for in this election.

LiberalPC.  Or NDP.

Yes, I know we also have the Green Party. Unfortunately, they could have the BEST candidate, but they’re never given serious consideration by the voters.

So we’re left with the main three.

Despite the fact I think it's time and a smart move to make marijuana legal, there isn’t much else the Liberals are offering that would entice me to vote for them.

And the way Stephen McNeil has butchered the film industry, and pissed off the teachers and health care workers in this province, the writing is on the wall … it’s time for him to go.

So that leaves us looking for a new leader.

Along with the new leader comes the party.

Liberal.  PC.  NDP.

Dear Mr. Politician, you made it very easy for me to choose my candidate this year.

The Liberals don’t have a shot at my vote.

But you?  You did.

I would have happily opened my door and listened to your campaign pitch.

But you didn’t give me that opportunity.

Dear Mr. Politician, a few weeks ago, I saw you walking down my street with another man.

I’ll be honest, at first I thought you were with the religious organization that tends to knock on people’s doors, looking to save and convert souls, but you were not.

I watched you walk out of my neighbours yard, and walk straight past my house, and you went to my OTHER neighbor.

At the time, I was confused.  Why were these men going door to door?  Visiting the neighbours on either side of me?

On Monday, when I got to work and discussed the strange sight with a co-worker, I found out that it was you, Mr. Politician.  You had been the man walking down my street with your campaign person, speaking to ‘the people’.

Was I disappointed that you didn’t stop in and speak to me?

At first?  Yes.

Then?  I was pissed off.

Because you see, Mr. Politician, although I didn’t know who YOU were, I did take note of your campaign person with you, and saw that it was my landlord.

My landlord and I don’t like each other. At all.

So I can only assume, Mr. Politician, since you didn’t give me any other option, that the reason you did NOT stop and knock on MY door, even though you went to the houses on either side of me, is because of something my landlord said to you.

I don’t know this for a fact.

I can only assume, because you didn’t knock on my door.  You didn’t stop in.

You gave me no other option than to assume you didn’t want to speak with me because my landlord doesn’t like me.

It couldn’t be that you didn’t stop in because there was nobody home.

There were two cars in the driveway.

It couldn’t be that you thought there was nobody living there eligible to vote, because really, you generally have to be an adult of voting age to own/rent a home.

So again, I can only assume, Mr. Politician, since you didn’t give me any other option, that the reason you did NOT stop and knock on MY door, even though you went to the houses on either side of me, is because of something my landlord said to you (yes, I know I just said that twice, I'm making a point!).

And to that, I have to ask … really?  REALLY?!?!?!?

Dear Mr. Politician, remember this?

You had TWO eligible voters living in a house you just casually walked by.

You had two people, in two different demographics, who could have jumped on your bandwagon, and rallied the troops, and ‘spread the word’ about what a great candidate you were, and what an asset you’d be to our community.

But you didn’t give us that opportunity, did you?

Whatever my landlord said to you, made your decision for you, and that, in turn, Mr. Politician, has made MY decision for me.

Perhaps my landlord was afraid I would call him out in front of you for not being someone who actually does what he says he will do. {I wouldn't have, because our personal issues have nothing to do with the election.}

Perhaps my landlord was afraid I would tell you about having to go 5 months without dependable water. {I wouldn't have, because our personal issues have nothing to do with the election.}

Perhaps my landlord just said I was a royal Bitch, and wouldn’t vote for you simply because HE was walking alongside of you.

Who knows why, Mr. Politician?  I don’t.  Because you didn’t give me that opportunity.  Did you?

And now?  There is ONE party left that will get my vote.

It won’t be the ones who have screwed the film industry or govt. workers.

It won’t even necessarily be the ones who may be the better party to vote for.

The candidate who will get my vote, will be the one who has his own mind, and is willing to meet everyone.  Not just those he is steered towards, for one reason or another.

Dear Mr. Politician, it may have only been two votes to you.

But it spoke volumes to me.

I really did want to hear your views. You may be a great person, and a fantastic candidate to represent our area, but I’ll never know that, will I?  Because you didn't gave me the opportunity to find out.

You walked on by.

Dear Mr. Politician, someone will get my vote next week, but it won’t be you.

I want a representative who wants to hear from everyone.  Not someone who is going to pick and choose who they want to represent.

I don't want someone who can be THAT easily swayed NOT to take everyone into consideration.

I’d rather put that check mark next to ‘Other’, or even the deceased Tuxedo Stan, rather than next to someone who decided to exclude some of his constituents that day, for whatever reason.

Go Green!

Kidding.  Even *I* wouldn’t go that far!

Who will I vote for?

The guy who took the time and stopped by my house today.  The one who left his pamphlet with a handwritten, 'Sorry we missed you', in the door because I wasn't home.

At least HE tried.

HE will get my vote.

Dear Mr. Politician, next time ... please think for yourself.

Get out and vote, people.  If you don’t, don’t bitch about how they’re running/ruining your country!

A Ticket Forward

My last 'vacation' was in 1995, and that was my honeymoon.

Every year, I make myself the same promise, 'THIS will be the year I go somewhere WARM!'

I live in Nova Scotia, and I grew up in northern New Brunswick.

I have four seasons which consist of occasionally warm, kind of chilly, cold and freeze your ass off.

I HATE the cold.  With a passion.  I was born in the wrong climate! Thank you, Mom and Dad (Kidding.  I love you.  Just not where you chose to live).

Every year, I plan to use my tax return on a trip 'away'.

Every year, that plan goes down the drain when the tax money has to be used to pay the monstrous power bill, or car repairs, or sports fees for the kids or ... or ... or.

There's always something to spend it on.

And it's never a trip. Anywhere. Let alone warm.

Don't get me wrong, I've taken my kids away on overnight excursions to places like Crystal Palace, but that's a two hour drive away, and we stayed at my mom's place.

Other than when my parents took the boys and I to Canada's Wonderland back in 2001, they've never been on a plane.  I've never taken them away anywhere on a real vacation.

And I've certainly never gone anywhere exotic with friends, or alone.

But the way I see it, they may not be world travelers, but they've had a good childhood.

We've had fun.

And if I put all my resources into raising my kids now, on the things we need, and some of the extras they want, in another few years, there will be time for 'me' trips.

I plan on hitting a sandy beach with palm trees somewhere in this big world.

Someday.

I know I'm not the only person who has dreamed of traveling to places they've never been.

And I know I'm not the only one who can't afford to simply call an airline and book a ticket to ... wherever, whenever their heart desires.

On this single mom's budget, it's just not possible.

Yes, many people are able to save for their adventures. They put money away, they sell things, they do whatever they have to in order to raise the cash to live their dreams.

For others, despite the saving, or fundraising, or planning, or wanting, it just doesn't happen.

Now, that's all about to change for some very lucky people.

A new charity is being launched this week, hoping to make some of those abandoned travel dreams a reality.

It's called, A Ticket Forward.

This new initiative is the brainchild of Jordan Axani.

Jordan recently found himself with an extra 'round the world' airline ticket, and instead of letting it go to waste, he searched for a travel mate.

You can read Jordan's original story HERE with an update, HERE!

But this isn't about Jordan, really.  It's about the new charity that he has created as a result of his journey to find that travel mate.

Jordan received many responses to his ad, from people all over the world, of all ages, who were afraid of never seeing their dream destination.

Many of these messages and stories he found extremely touching.

It made him want to help them all and A Ticket Forward was born.

From their (temporary) website, "A Ticket Forward elevates quality of life by facilitating the connection for individuals with people and places that matter to them most. We believe that travel is more than a luxury; it means the world. We partner with donors, brands and organizations to remove the distance between loved ones, enable cross-cultural exchange, and provide opportunities for personal growth." - A Ticket Forward

Basically,  Jordan and his teams in LA, NYC, and Toronto are working with the Edward Charles Foundation, as well as corporate and private sponsors, to provide crowdfunding and private funding for eligible applicants, and will make it happen!

There is an application process, and no guarantees, but if an applicant is selected by the Selection Committee, and they are short listed, there is a chance that their trip will be funded by A Ticket Forward.

Is there somewhere you always wanted to go but for whatever reason, could not?  Tell them your story!

You can either apply to A Ticket Forward on your own, or submit the name of someone you feel would be deserving of their trip of a lifetime.

If you meet their requirements, found HERE, and you believe this could be the one opportunity you (or someone you know) would ever have to see that one special destination, go ahead ... APPLY!

You can find their application page HERE.

I think this is a wonderful thing Jordan and his team are doing.

Giving to deserving people, and making dreams come true is always a good thing.

And now, if you'll excuse me ... it's below 0 degrees here today, so I think I'll turn up the heat, sit in my tub for awhile with a mai tai and dream of palm trees.

On the bright side, I don't have to worry about sharks in my tub.

Or unsightly Speedos .

Hey ... HEY!  NO splashing!!!

I have since found their NEW website!  The first group of people have been chosen to receive A Ticket Forward!  See it HERE.

An Open Letter To Car Buyers On Kijiji

This is an open letter to car buyers on Kijiji.

Dear Kijiji car buyers I have dealt with in the past two weeks,

YOU SUCK!

I could simply end this post right here.  Because that’s really all I have to say about car buyers on Kijiji, given my personal experience.

But I suppose I should clarify one thing.

Not ALL car buyers on Kijiji suck.

Only the ones involved in this apparent SCAM to buy Canadian cars and ship them overseas.

Ever since Christmas, I’ve had my eye on a vehicle that was for sale.

Not a new vehicle.  Not by a long shot.

But it was something I wanted.  Really, REALLY wanted.

So, I decided to put my car up for sale on Kijiji, to see what happened.

I wasn’t trying to make a lot of money off the sale.

I simply wanted to make enough to cover the cost of the new-to-me car, and pay for its registration and taxes.

OH.  MY.  GOD!

I had NO idea it would be such a time-wasting, frustrating, want to punch someone in the head, experience!

All I wanted to do was sell a car.

A Toyota Camry.

Never … EVER … again!!!!

At first, I was worried I wouldn’t get any replies.

As it turned out, that was the LEAST of my worries.

I got replies.

I got a shitload of replies.

I also got offers.  Without even seeing the car.

At least I was smart enough to take THOSE with a grain of salt.

Such as this one, that landed in my mailbox after I’d posted the ad a second time:

“You still have it. Is something wrong with it. How's mechanically. Any accidents or damage. I am willing to offer $5000 cash for AS IS and will buy immediately. I am from Toronto and serious. Thanks and let me know.”

Right.  Well guess what, Dude?  I’m from Halifax, and I’m serious too.  About the fact you can kiss my ass!

The fact he offered me almost double what I had asked for the car was bad enough.  But to throw that snooty ‘I am from Toronto and serious’ part in there?

THAT just pissed me off!  Yes, even MORE SO than I already was that day!

The day I thought I'd actually SOLD the car!

It turns out, there is some sort of car buying scam going on in Halifax.  And yes, I call it and consider it nothing but a SCAM!

I was contacted by MANY people, the majority of them with names in their email addresses that I cannot pronounce.

And I don't say that to be 'snooty' or nastyNot at all.  I'm simply stating a fact.

Four of these people openly admitted that they wanted to buy my car to ‘ship it overseas’.

Why do they ship all these cars overseas?  No idea.  I didn’t ask.  I really don’t care.

What I DO care about, is the fact that 99.9% of the people who contacted me and made OFFERS on my car, wanted it for this specific purpose.

Did they take the car?

No.

THAT is how I know about this overseas scam.

When it came time to actually SEE the car, every single one of them … EVERY SINGLE ONE … said ‘I can’t buy this.  It has a V6 (engine) and I can’t ship V6’s overseas’.

Excuse me, but …. WTF?!?!??!?

First of all, I had NO idea that so many cars from Halifax were being shipped overseas.  Second, why the heck can’t they take cars with V6 engines?

At least the majority of people told me up front, they didn’t want it because it was a V6.

The others, however, gave me the run around.

Such as, Emmanuel Adeola, ‘I’ll be there by noon to get your car.’

Or Chijioke Aroghalu, ‘I want your car, but can’t get it until Tuesday, will you accept a deposit?’

Both of these men completely disappeared after making these statements.

THESE are the Kijiji buyers who SUCK!!!

Why waste my time, AND YOURS, if you KNOW you’re not going to take the car?

Oh … I know … cause YOU SUCK!!!!

But they weren’t even the worst.

Oh no.

The worst person I ran into, trying to sell my car, was a man by the name of Ray MacDonald, who said he was a car dealer in Salisbury, New Brunswick.

The first time I posted the ad for the car, Ray sent me an email, made a low offer, and left his phone number.

I’ll be honest in saying I didn’t call him, because he left me a New Brunswick phone number.

No … I’m not calling you long distance, to find out you don’t want my car!

After dealing with the ‘want to ship the car overseas’ people for a week, I pulled the ad off Kijiji, and re-listed it again.

The FIRST response I got, was from Ray.  Again.

He said he was ‘very interested in buying’ my car.

I gave him my phone number and he called me at work.

I made it VERY clear to Ray, the issues/troubles I was having trying to sell the car.

I made it VERY clear to Ray, that the majority of people I had dealt with so far, were only interested in shipping the car overseas, and could not send a V6, so wouldn’t take the car.

Ray was very sympathetic.

He even told me about how he himself had been ‘screwed’ by people, wanting to buy cars to ship them overseas.

Said he had been contacted by people who were "mostly students, wanting to ship the car to Africa".

He then stated that he wanted to buy my car.

We settled on a price.

We settled on a place to meet.

In Truro.  Almost an hour’s drive away.

I told him I had no interest in driving to Truro, unless it was a 'Done Deal'.

I made it VERY clear to Ray, that if he screwed me over, I’d hunt him down.

He reassured me that he certainly would NOT do that to me!  He definitely wanted to buy my car!

The ONLY reason I agreed to meet Ray, was because he said the sale was ‘a sure thing’.

It would just be a matter of exchanging cash for car.

Since the new car I wanted to get was actually in Truro, this worked out PERFECTLY for me!

FINALLY, this sale was going to happen.

Or so I thought. As did all my co-workers, who were hearing my end of the conversation.

You see … Ray the car dealer from Salisbury New Brunswick LIED to me!

He said HE wanted to buy the car.

He said HE would be meeting me in Truro.

He said HE wouldn't make me go, unless it was a sure thing.

NOT ONCE did Ray EVER say he was actually the MIDDLEMAN, and had NO INTENTION of either meeting me, or buying the car himself.

NOT good, Ray.  NOT GOOD!!!!

So, I take the afternoon off work.

Wash the car.

Put gas in the car for the trip, then headed to Truro, a VERY happy girl!

We were scheduled to meet at 4:30pm.

I had also made arrangements to pick up my new-to-me car as soon as the old one was sold, and where I was picking it up closed at 5pm.

Buddy pulled into the parking lot next to me at 4:26pm

I say ‘Buddy’, because I could tell just by looking at him, that this was NOT Ray, who I had spoken to on the phone earlier that day.

No, I had not actually seen Ray.  But I KNEW.

As I got out of my car, those were my first words to Buddy.

‘Who are you?  You’re not Ray!’

And instead of giving me an explanation, Buddy looks at the back of my car, and immediately says, ‘This is a V6.  I’m not buying this.’

Now that I look back at the incident, I’m VERY surprised nobody called the police on the crazy woman who was yelling at some dude on the front lawn of the Robie Street Irving, in Truro.

No, this particular meeting did NOT go well.

As soon as he said he wasn’t buying the car, I asked him again, ‘Who are you?  Where is Ray!’

Without hardly even looking at me, Buddy says, ‘I’m Ray’s friend’.

I was NOT impressed!

NOT.  AT.  ALL!

And to make matters worse, Buddy kept saying to me, ‘Listen DEAR …’

I lost it.

BIG TIME!

So much so that I finally told him to stop talking and listen.  And with voice raised, and finger in his face, I told him VERY CLEARLY that I WAS NOT HIS Dear!  Stop calling me that.  NOW!

We argued back and forth about why he SHOULD be buying this car.

He got Ray on the phone, and informed him he would not be buying the car, because he didn’t have any clients for it.

UH … right.  I CALL BULLSHIT!!!!

You mean you can’t ship a V6 overseas, to your client, Asshole!

I looked at Buddy and said, ‘Give me the phone.  I want to talk to Ray, myself.’

He did.

Ray apologized profusely.

I didn’t care.

What I DID care about was the fact I was lied to.

And the fact this jerk didn’t have the decency to tell me the truth, that he was only the middle man.

I told him , ‘The ONLY thing that will make this right, is for Buddy to pay me for the car, and since you SAID you’re a car dealer, and that YOU were buying the car, YOU pay him back and figure out who you’re going to sell it to!’

Ray asked me to put Buddy back on the phone.

Silly me.  I thought he might actually be telling him what I had said.

Right.

Buddy gets off the phone with a, ‘I’m not buying the car.’

After a few more heated exchanges, and no resolution, I simply drove away.

I went to the Bestie’s (who lives in Truro), and called Ray immediately.

I repeated my initial claim of what would make this, ‘better’.

All I got from Ray was, ‘Did he at least give you 50 bucks for gas money?  He told me he’d give you gas money.’

No Ray.  No gas money. Nothing but a waste of my time.

The only thing I got from Ray MacDonald, car dealer in Salisbury New Brunswick, was a load of bullshit.

And lies.

You, Mr Ray MacDonald, ARE one of the Kijiji car buyers who SUCK!

And … you don’t honour your word.

I suppose this shouldn’t surprise me, for a car dealer.

But it was still disappointing.

And infuriating, because he'd sent me the EXACT type of person I'd told him had been screwing with me.

Someone wanting to send the car overseas.  Someone with a 'client'.

Before I hung up with him, I DID warn him, that he’d pissed off a chick with a big mouth.

Now I’m using that mouth to get the word out.

And to warn people.

Both about this scam to send cars overseas, and about how Ray MacDonald, car dealer from Salisbury New Brunswick DID manage to screw me over, when he’d promised not to.

Are you REALLY even a car dealer, Ray?

I still have my Camry.

I’ve given up hope on selling it and getting my new-to-me car.

I did list it again, yesterday, but I put this line at the very top, “Please note!  This has a v6.  So if you're looking to buy the car to ship it overseas, don't contact me!”

Guess it worked, since I’ve only had ONE reply since posting the ad yesterday.

And it's had 245 views.

I WILL continue to post things on Kijiji.  It’s still the easiest way to sell items.

But, I also think, that the people who DID contact me about the car, and wanted to sell/ship it overseas, and SPECIFICALLY Ray MacDonald, who pretended to be the ‘nice guy’ and ended up screwing me over anyway ….

YOU ALL SUCK!

K.

P.S.  I considered leaving Ray MacDonald’s email address in this post.  So you could all let him know what you think of his underhanded business skills, but … even I’m not THAT mean!

Lucky for you, Ray.
