Batista Sweat On Me!!!

Yes my friends, SWEAT was the highlight of last Saturday night :-) Oh but not just ANY sweat ... BATISTA SWEAT!

If you had asked me 6 months ago what a
Batista was, I would have guessed a new 'hard rock' band (Is 'hard rock' still a genre? Is it called something else now? Damn I'm feeling old!). I have since been educated by the boys, that Batista is in fact one of the favourites of the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) circuit, and one of Alec's personal favourites, (along with John Cena!) and on Saturday night, only a few short months later, I found myself standing in the aisles, arms in air, screaming at the top of my lungs 'BATISTA BOMB BABY!!!"

Yup. Looking back, not one of my most ... a-hem, refined moments, but have you SEEN this man?!?!??!

Saturday night, I took the boys and one of Alec's friends to see Wrestlemania Revenge. There, they saw many of the 'Stars' they've recently been watching on Friday Night Smackdown. LIVE, right there in front of them!

It was an AWESOME night!

It was a 'Dad Weekend', so I picked them up from their father's around 4pm Sat afternoon, and we made the 2+hr trek to Moncton NB for the 7:30pm show. It was part of Alec's 12th birthday present.

The kids couldn't BELIEVE they were seeing Batista .... LIVE!!! He was REAL!!! Not just someone on TV. But not only The Animal, ALL of the wrestlers! Three and a half hours worth of loud, sweaty, BIG men in tight be-dazzled skivvies, body slamming each other around a ring. Yeah. Every Mom's dream way of spending a Saturday night huh? But this night wasn't for me. I was simply along for the ride :-)

**** I do have to side note for a sec, to say that as the ... grownup, in this situation, I have had the - 'it's only entertainment, it's not 'real'. Having said that, accidents and injuries DO happen because it is a sport, (and then there's the extreme - Owen Hart) but these people are professionally trained, so I don't EVER want to see you using these 'moves' on each other or that's it, the plug on Wrestling is pulled' - talk with them :-) What can I say, like rock and movie stars, some of these guys are role models and heroes for a huge number of kids. Gotta keep an eye on what they're 'into', so if you can't beat 'em, cheer on their favourite wrestler with them ;-) ****

Matt Hardy started off the night vs MVP, (and won) then, in no particular order, Jimmy Wang Yang and Shannon Moore fought against tag-team champions John Morrison and The Miz. There was Finlay & Hornswoggle, Chavo and Kane, and of course Adam's favourite .... BIG SHOW!!! That man is HUGE!!!! Palumbo rode in on his custom chopper, a few other guys I don't remember were there, and then, the title match. Batista vs Edge. WOOHOO!!!!! Oops. Did I say that out loud?

And of course it wouldn't be the WWE without ...
The DIVA'S!!!! Yeah. Just what I took my 12 & 8 yr old to see ... half naked women parading around in the ring, who didn't even wrestle!!! It was simply a 'Diva Contest'. Who was the 'Hottest Diva'. Yeah ... Ok ... bring back the big, sweaty dudes in the bedazzled tights would ya?!?!?!? If I want the boys to see semi-porn, I'll pay for the channel, thanks!

Where's Big Show when ya need him!

I've found one video compilation of the night. You can see a mix of pics and video here:

I got a kick out of the fact it was pics, until the Diva's hit the ring, then it switched to video LOL.

All the kids had a blast. Screamed themselves hoarse! They cheered on the 'good guys' and yelled the closest thing to an obscenity they were allowed to yell at the 'bad guys'. Well, just one obscenity really ... "EDGE YOU SUCK !!!!!!!!"

The night had a few highlights. During the title match between Batista and Edge (who is a fellow Canadian BTW), before Edge actually got into the ring he was playing with the crowd. Calling them down. Getting them going. My three sucked in all their breath, and all yelled at the top of their lungs at the same time "YOU SUCK EDGE!!!!".

Now, whether it was MY three he heard (who were actually pretty loud lol, and had picked a relatively quiet moment to yell that) or the rest of the crowd he heard, who started yelling 'you suck' in unison after the boys did, he came back to the microphone and said something along the lines of "So ... I SUCK do I?!?!??!?!?" Made some more rude comments, dissed the Montreal Canadians and finally got into the ring lol.

That was Alec's highlight, he thought FOR SURE he had heard them and were acknowledging them ;-)

Then, at the end of the night, after the title match, I let them run down to the stage entrance/exit when Batista was leaving the ring. Every time a wrestler walked that path to the exit, he was swarmed on both sides with kids and grown-ups alike. From above, it was like watching a bag of sugar being dropped in the middle of an army of starving ants. SWARM!

The boys just missed him :-( He left - then came back for a minute - in that minute Alec and his friend managed to 'get in there' and touch him and THAT just made their night! Adam tried to get his hand on him as well, but unfortunately, Batista fans come in all shapes and sizes, and some big guys (adults!) managed to jump in front of him and he could no longer see or get to him.

I did what any Mom would do ... and hoisted him into the crowd and hoped to get him back :-) He body surfed back a few seconds later, and he was in absolute AWE!!!! The only thing he could do was point to his arm and say "Ba ... Ba ... Ba .... BATISTA SWEAT ON ME!!!!!!" "MOM! BATISTA SWEAT ON ME!!" There were huge sweat spots on his arm and the wristbands he'd bought at the event.

He looked up at me with huge eyes and said "Mom, I'm NEVER going to wash this arm or band AGAIN!"

The scary part is, he's 8. He means it. Sigh. Role models and heroes.

One man's sweat made his night :-) And the looks on all their faces made mine :-)

There were also a couple of disappointments that night. The biggest for me was the fact that
The Undertaker wasn't there, as advertised :-( He was the one I wanted to see!

I remember watching The Undertaker when I was a kid. He scared the crap out of me back then, and I was really looking forward to seeing him in person that night. Not meant to be I guess. Not sure why he wasn't there, or if he was, why he didn't make an appearance. The boys are of the opinion it's because he was
'stripped' of his title the night before on Friday Night Smackdown. Who knows. Hopefully he'll still be on the circuit if they come this way again.

And I only managed to embarrass Alec once :-) JUST ONCE the whole night :-D

At the end of the last match, when Batista won, I jumped out of my seat, into the aisle and did a little 'Happy Batista Dance' and cheer. Ok, so it was more of a scream ... that is, until Alec yelled over the roar of the crowd "MOM! Stop that! You're embarrassing me! At WRESTLEMANIA!!!!!

Oops. Reigning it in!

Two weeks ago,
I lost my Cool Mom status. Last weekend, I gained it back for a fleeting moment with the whole Wrestlemania thing ... only to quickly lose it again with my Happy Batista Dance. Crap.

I couldn't help it. I was caught up in the Batista moment. I blame it on all the testosterone in the room that night ;-p

All in all it was a great night! I know Wrestling has it's die hard fans, and those who detest and make fun of the 'sport', but for these young kids, seeing their 'idols' walk past them, grab their hands and then pummel the 'bad guys' in the ring, all left them with a night to remember.

And according to Alec, 'The best birthday EVER Mom!!!'

Great. Glad to hear it. How the heck do I top this next year?!?!?!? Hmmm wonder if John Cena makes house calls ...

Nite all. Time to put this brain to bed and see if my subconscious can conjure up any images of big sweaty men in be-dazzled skivvies ;-p

Batista Bomb Baby!!!!!!!!

Mom! STOP! You're embarrassing me! In WALMART!!!

Yes. I do that on occasion. Embarrass my kids. Sometimes intentionally ... sometimes not. This time, it was intentional :-)

Sunday afternoon. We're strolling through the toy aisles at Walmart (the mother's dream/nightmare store) and all of a sudden, I could hear the music ...

'Everybody was kung-fu fighting -HA!
Those cats were fast as lightning - Ha-YA!
In fact it was a little bit frightening - YAH!
But they fought with expert timing' - WACHAAAA!!

And it moved me. Much to the dismay of my boys. Especially Alec! It moved me from behind my cart filled with lunchtime snacks for the upcoming week, out to the middle of the aisle, somewhere between the WWE Wrestlers and the Hot Wheels ... Mama started Kung-Fu Fighting-dancing! WACHAAAA!!

"Mom!"
"MOM! Stop that!"
"MOM!!! STOP!!! You're embarrassing me!"

'Whaaaaat?!?!?!? You've got a problem with your Mom Kung-Fu Fight-dancing in Walmart?'

Apparently he did.

The guy who turned the corner as I was shakin' the booty and giving a little HA-YA! seemed to get a kick out of it though ;-)

Then we were on to Electronics. They have different gaming stations set up. Both boys tried their hand at the Drums in Rockband for Wii. Then I had a turn. Apparently MORE embarrassment for The Boy. They left me! Just walked (slunk) away! Left me bangin' solo and getting funny looks from the 'walmart people'!!!!

Probably cause I was kickin' their butts on those drums!!!!

Just wait! He hasn't had his first REAL girlfriend yet. That boy is in for a whole BOATLOAD of embarrassment ... courtesy of ... Mom ;-)

'Everybody was kung-fu fighting -HA!

Those cats were fast as lightning - Ha-YA! .......

Have a great day all!

This Ain't Mr. Roger's Neighbourhood Baby!

Evenin' Everyone!

Last week I was in Montreal. On Wednesday night I returned home to some interesting news. Almost immediately, I thought 'blog!'. But in the next moment, I realized that talking about something like this publicly may not be such a good idea.

If you know me, you know that blogging, aside from being a permenant record of the 'stories' I want to pass along to the boys, is like therapy for me ... and I'm really feeling the need for a session on this one! I've been tossing it around in my brain for the past week. To the point that now only three out of the four voices in my head agree that I'm sane!

There's so much I want to say. And so much more I know I can't say. What does end up here isn't meant to point fingers or cast blame, or 'reveal' anyone's identities who may not necessarily want to be discussed in a public forum. What this is, is simply MY thoughts and feelings on a particular public event that occurred last winter - after coming to realize I had a 'six degrees of separation' relationship to it.

But first ... I have to backtrack a bit. Sorry. Crucial part of the 'story' ;-)

When my ex returned from Washington a couple of years ago, he was limited in his apartment choices in our area. He chose a four unit building, not far away. It had it's good and bad points, as most of our homes/living arrangements do. Once he was 'settled', the boys started going there every second weekend.

Like any multi-unit building, it had it's 'characters' in both tenants and visitors. My kids included lol. I'm sure the others always knew when they were visiting :-) Not only were they there every two weeks, but there were ALWAYS pit stops for something during that two week period in between. With so many visits, I ran into many people in that building's parking lot. And as with most people in parking lots, I would have cast them nothing more than a passing glance and perhaps a 'hi' if it was someone I perceived as 'OK'.

My ex has since moved and I'll be honest in saying I wouldn't recognize 9.9/10 of the people from his previous building if I was standing behind them in the grocery, fast food, movie etc. lineup, Couldn't tell you if one of them, or their visitors I'd run into, served me my coffee every day. On one hand, I guess I could look at that as my being insensitive and indifferent to other people. On the other, as a single mom/woman in this 'trust nobody' world, it could be more a form of self preservation. Maybe a bit of both.

Now I have to veer off even further for a minute, but please indulge me, I will be connecting these dots very soon ;-)

Last winter there were a couple of 'violent crimes' that stood out for me amongst the 'everyday' violence that we've all grown accustomed to. One because it was a teens against another teen incident. Which just scares the crap out of me! I know I have an influence over my own boys actions, but I have no say whatsoever in how all the other kids they go to school with are raised. Sigh. I don't like being part of the generation who sends them to school and prays they come home :-( But that's a whole other post.

The other story caught my attention because I thought I might have known a relative of the victim, since she shared the same last name as a former employer. Turned out it wasn't anyone I 'knew'. I was thankful for that, and was silently happy for my former employer that she wasn't burying a family member, but I still felt bad for this poor girl who was raped, tortured, and in the end, murdered and stuffed away.

A man and woman were arrested. Other than what I read in the two (most detailed) archived articles I found last night, I have no idea where the incident currently stands. No idea if both were actually involved. If both are even in jail or back out living alongside the rest of us.

I didn't know it at the time, but apparently I've looked into the eyes of the victim's accused killer(s).

That's what I found out when I got home last Wednesday.

Now we're all caught up to today.

Here's the kicker. I couldn't tell you what he looks like, because I really don't know. Never took the time to really 'look' at him. Indifference ... self-preservation ... I'm really not going to examine it too closely. Whatever it is, if I'm not drawing the attention of a potential psycho, it's working!

So how does my web entangle with that of an accused murderer? One of the two who was arrested apparently has a relative in that same apartment building my ex was living in for over a year. Both people arrested had visited the relative in this building on a regular basis.

The minute I was told of the connection between the ex's former accommodations and this accused couple, my first thought was 'OMIGOD THE KIDS!!!!'. How many times had these people been at the apt the same times the kids were. That I was.

Now I should say that it was reported there was some type of 'connection' between the accused and the victim, so I don't think this person, if they did it, decided to just randomly kill someone one evening. And the murder did NOT occur in 'my area'. However, looking at it from the single woman's perspective, it's hard not to be lying in bed, staring at the ceiling a couple of nights later and thinking ... shit ... did these people know how many nights I'd left there, going home to an empty house ... had they been there in the building, in their car, when I left? Was their crime spur of the moment? Heat of passion? Planned? Had they ever discussed picking some unsuspecting woman to 'practice' on? And then back to ... shit ... did these people know how many nights I'd left there, going home to an empty house ...

Sigh. Once again, over-analyzing the bad guy. Damn my overactive imagination ... and damn A&E and their crime shows! ;-) The whole situation had absolutely nothing to do with me, my kids or my ex, but it still creeps me out to know that I, and even scarier, my children, were most likely in the same building ... at the same time, as a couple now accused of raping, torturing, and finally killing a 20yr old woman. Yeah ... Creeps me out.

My ex called tonight and we discussed it for a bit.

I finally had to ask.

I just sort of blurted it out. "Can you honestly tell me that I would have run into him in the parking lot ... did I look into his face". His answer was simple - and chilling. "Yep".

Apparently I've looked into an accused killers eyes. On more than one occasion. Hell, I might have even smiled. Given the 'hi'.

But the scary part is ... I couldn't tell you what he looks like.

Sigh. Nope, this ain't Mr Roger's Neighbourhood Baby! Maybe I should start thinking about moving INTO the city ...

Have a safe night all! And once again, if I happen not to return to my Korner within a few weeks, would someone please send Grissom ;-)

Dank. Yes, it's a word. Dank.

Hey everyone,

This is another one of those 'strange coincidences' type of posts :-) Sort of
The Secret Revisited I guess lol.

I'm sure most of you have a small library of words in your head that just sound strange when you hear/see them. Yes? No? Sure you do!

When I was in high school, can't remember exactly which grade, I read the word 'dank' in a book. At the time, I thought it was a mis-print, but looked it up in the dictionary anyway. Yes ... the dictionary, that old paper version of what we now call Google lol

Sure enough, it's a word.

Dank

–adjective, -er, -est. unpleasantly moist or humid; damp and, often, chilly: a dank cellar.

It was one of those strange words for me, so I decided to store it away for future use :-)

That same year, we had a substitute teacher for English class, for an extended period of time. He was the older brother of one of my classmates. During his stay, we had to write a paper. My report contained the word 'dank'. The report was returned, the word was circled with an 'x' next to it, and the comment 'Not a word' written next to it, in red.

I was mad! It WAS a word. I knew it was, but I didn't argue it. (I know, I know, I heard that collective gasp out there! She didn't argue it?!?!?!? LOL) Partly because he was the brother of a friend, partly because he was a teacher. I wasn't accustomed to arguing with teachers. What can I say? I was young and still hadn't grown into my brass balls yet ;-)

That one experience solidified that word in my mental data bank though. Anytime I came across it in a book in the years to come, I would remember that paper, and that substitute teacher, and wish I had spoken up and said 'Yes, it IS a word ... does that change my grade at all?????' ;-)

Fast forward almost 20 years.

A couple of weeks ago, I was scrolling through my Friend list on one of the social networking groups I'm a member of, and landed on the classmate from my English class. Substitute teacher's brother. I remembered the 'dank' incident. And smiled :-)

A couple of days later, in end-of-day conversation, (with the guy I have been giving a drive home after work) the subject of high school, teachers, classes, etc. comes up and the 'dank' story comes to mind, so I share it with him. He wasn't familiar with the word. We chuckle about the fact that (substitute) teachers aren't always right ;-)

The next day, my favourite
morning radio dude asks the question "What was something you learned from a teacher?" Meaning some life lesson apart from the three R's. One lady called in and said one teacher had taught her to stand up for herself. Immediately I thought about the whole 'dank' story, and thought to myself 'I learned substitute teachers aren't always right! I wish I had learned that other lady's lesson earlier too!!!' lol

Although I knew it wasn't the 'feel good moment' he was looking for, after I got to the parking lot and parked my vehicle, (because we're not legally allowed to drive and cell here anymore) I shared my 'dank' story with my radio dude anyway (off-air), cause we chat about 'stuff' like that :-) He wasn't familiar with the word either, and asked me to use it in a sentence LOL. I was able to do so. ;-)

Later that same afternoon, I headed outside for a break from the cube. I found myself a sunny patch, parked my butt, opened my new
Lisa Jackson book (Hot Blooded), and started the Prologue. On the second page, 1st paragraph I read the sentence ...

"A hot June breeze, heavy with the dank breath of the Mississippi, blew through the open window."

There it was. Making it's appearance after I'd thrown it out there all week.

My previous thoughts on The Secret: "It's about the Law of attraction. What thoughts/words/actions you throw out there into the universe, good or bad, you attract back to you."

Dank.

It is a word.

Have a great weekend all!

Is she Friendly or Flirting? An 11yr old's perspective.

A couple of days ago, while driving the boys to school, the Morning Dude on my favourite radio station asked a question to his listeners.

"How do you know if a woman is being friendly, or if she's actually flirting?"

I just couldn't resist ... I HAD to turn around and ask the boys "Well, what do you think?"

A bunch of their answers were pretty hilarious, but the one that almost made me spit my mouthful of coffee into my windshield, was when Alec (11) said "She sticks her leg out!"

Alrighty then!

Once I managed to swallow the coffee, (which is NO easy task when you're trying not to laugh or choke!) I asked "What do you mean 'sticks her leg out'?"

He said "you know ... they lift their leg and stick it out!!!"

Um. Ok. I'm still not quite sure what he meant ... I'm thinking he meant like when a couple are kissing, and the girl, if she's really into it, will sometimes bend the knee back, sort of lifting the leg up.

Like this …

Or maybe I'm totally wrong ... and what he really meant was like this …

or this

GOD I hope not …otherwise I’ve been doing it all WRONG!!!!

The reason I almost lost the coffee, was because when he said it, I immediately had a mental image of a woman walking up to a guy, lifting her leg up and sticking it straight out in the air and yelling 'DATE ME! I'M FLIRTING!’... you know ... like a dog lifts his leg when leaving his scent everywhere...

That's why my coffee almost met my windshield.

He's thinking Scarlet O’Hara; I'm thinking pissin' in the wind LOL. Which I guess is sometimes what flirting/dating feels like these days anyway ;-)

It was the running joke around the house all night. One of the boys would walk up to me unexpectedly, stick their leg out in the air and say 'DATE ME!!! DATE ME!!!'

Ok ... I'm finding humor in the small things ... I definitely gotta get out more! Now where’d I leave that copy of Flirting for Dummies …?

I've Quit Selling ... and Quitting

Clear? Good! ;-)

Hey Everyone!

There are two questions I have been asked repeatedly over the last couple of months. 1) How's the house selling going?"
Accident Update, Basketball, Moving and Belle and 2) "How's the quitting smoking going?" I saw a Hypnotist yesterday and I hit a Deer today...

I've decided to answer those questions here. I've quit both. Selling, and Quitting.

Quitting is not a characteristic I generally encourage, in either myself or my kids, but we've talked about it, and they know the selling is simply postponed for a couple of years (which they're actually happy about lol), and the quitting smoking ... well ... yeah, I've gotta work on that one (which they're not as happy about).

The house just needs too much work right now to try and sell it for what I want it sold for.

We had many showings. Which was good and bad. Good because there was lots of traffic through the house, which means people were definitely interested in the location. Bad because they all pretty much said the same thing. "Too much work in the basement". Which didn't come as a surprise to me. Some day, I'll fill you in on the Renovation/Demolition Project story ;-)

The other bad thing about it, is that I find it really creepy knowing strangers are going through my house. And it certainly didn't help that I started reading John Saul's Perfect Nightmare the same time the For Sale sign went up! "If you open your house to strangers, who knows who might come in? And what they might be after? Or who?" Yeah ... K ... way to creep yourself out even MORE Kim!

So, instead of trying to sink alot of money I don't have into the basement right now in order to sell it, or take a loss on the sale, I've decided we'll stay here another couple of years. I'll tackle the (w)rec(ked) - room a bit at a time, and try again when it's in a more 'sell-able' state. What I REALLY need, is to be a participant on
Trading Spaces! Pick ME Paige Pick ME! Have I got a challenge for you!!!

The non-smoking lasted a few weeks. What can I say. Smoking and coffee ... they're the two vices that get me through the day. Have I cut down. Yup. Can I say I've quit? Not so much. I'll try again. But not today. And most likely not tomorrow.

Nite all, I've got a (w)rec(ked) - room that needs cleaning ... sigh ... again.

Have a great March/Spring Break!

I (could have) put my kids in danger the other night

... well, not really .... but ....

Hey everyone!

No, I didn't leave my kids locked in a scorching hot car with the windows rolled up for hours. I didn't give them the latest set of Ginsu knives, a couple of blindfolds and say 'here ya go boys ... HAVE FUN!'. And no, I didn't take them with me to visit the busiest crack house in Metro.

I did however do something pretty stupid the other night, that COULD have put all of us in danger, and didn't even realize the seriousness of what I had done until after the fact.

6:30pm. Dinnertime. The boys and I are sitting at the table having dinner. Yes, we do that. All sit together at the table every night, have dinner and play "what's the best and worst thing that happened today?" Well, almost every night ... I enjoy dinner in front of the TV watching
Hannah Montana every now and then too ya know!!

*** And as a side note, I have to thank author
James Patterson for that Best/Worst game. I got the idea a long time ago from his Alex Cross character, who plays it with his own kids lol. Thanks Mr Patterson! *****

Suddenly, I see a man walking up our driveway. As he got closer to the house, I knew right away I didn't recognize or 'know' him.

He knocked.

I answered the door, still trying to swallow a mouthful of steak. Curious as always, Alec was right behind me, and Adam, as always, was a couple of steps behind him.

The man was looking for his missing dog. Apparently he is a new neighbour, and his dog had run away that afternoon. He turned up on my doorstep because he heard Belle barking in our yard earlier in the afternoon, so he was checking to see if her barking had anything to do with his dog. Or maybe Belle's bark sounded like his dog's bark, and he was checking to see if we'd stolen his dog lol. Who knows.

Belle decided to make her appearance at that moment, so he was definitely able to see we had one of our own :-) I told him we hadn't seen his dog, but would keep an eye out for her, closed the door and went back to the table and sat down ... that's when it hit me. Although I hadn't actually let him in, I had just opened my front door, with my kids standing behind me, to a complete stranger. Some guy who had just walked up my driveway and knocked on my door. A man who was bigger than me, and who could have walked into my house with one quick shove of the door. Game over.

Oh I know! I can't think every stranger is a 'bad person', and I certainly don't want my kids being overly paranoid of every new person they meet. I have no reason to fear a stranger coming to my door in my neighbourhood. Despite the fact there were two home invasions last week. Two different areas of HRM. Two different issues. But it happens. One was less than 10 min away from me.

I'll also be the first to admit I read far too many 'thriller' novels, am a
Law & Order (original and SVU) and CSI junkie and love a good scary movie that'll mess with your mind as well as make you go Ewwwww!!!! as you're peeking through your fingers. So I could simply have an overactive imagination when it comes to 'stuff' like this.

Having said that, as a single mom, living alone with two kids, you HAVE to think of the 'what ifs' sometimes, even if only to put your mind through a mental drill of sorts ... 'what would I do if ....' Cause ya know what my friends, although those shows/movies go to the extreme for the shock factor, alot of that scary sh*t happens ... where you least expect .... when you least expect.

About 10yrs ago, the ex and I were sitting in the downstairs rec room one night, watching TV, chillin'. It's around 10pm-ish. Front door opens and two good sized guys walked into our house. They stood in the entry way for a minute talking in low voices. When my ex started up the stairs and they saw him, they said they had walked into the wrong house. Mumbled a few other words and then left. Now, they didn't do anything wrong. And neither did Buddy with the lost dog. But THAT'S how fast it happens.

Call me overly paranoid in my own way, but it's easy for the 'OMIGOD! He could have just shoved the door and been in the house in a heartbeat. There'd be nothing I could do, he'd be in.' feelings to set in when you're settled back at the table, looking at your kids and your dinner and thinking wow ... what if .....

I really don't worry about it though. Not on an every day basis anyway. Only when strangers show up at my door ;-) I'm glad I live in a neighbourhood where I trust my neighbours, and really am not afraid to open the door to a stranger without a second thought.

Maybe I should be.

Maybe it's just another 'stranger danger' I'm over analyzing. Who knows.

Gotta go, someone's knocking at the door ...

If you don't hear from me next month, call 911 .... ask them to send Grissom!!!!

Nite all!
